Hi, I'm Emily

Trauma-Informed Personal Trainer, Somatic Therapist, Author, and Co-Creator of the Trauma-Informed Personal Training certification

I am a Trauma-Informed Personal Trainer, Somatic Therapist, and owner of The Embodied Trainer, where I help individuals reconnect with their bodies through movement, nervous system attunement, and trauma-responsive practices. Knowing that trauma is often held in the body, I support clients in cultivating safety, choice, and agency while integrating the emotional and physiological impacts of trauma. As the Co-Creator of the Trauma-Informed Personal Training Certification, I also train and mentor movement professionals who want to understand how trauma shapes physiology, behavior, and relationship to movement, as well as how to support clients with care, nuance, and respect. My work blends Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and strength training to create a grounded, relational, and healing-centered approach to movement.
